Owned and operated by Wayne Perusse since 1973, Danny's Service center has been serving Route 66 travelers since at least the late 1950's. According to some comments from knowledgeable locals it was originally called Superior 100, and around 1957 was ran by a couple named Orville and Alice Green. They sold the station to the eponymous E.L. "Danny" Daniel, who then leased it to Wayne Perusse in 1970, eventually selling it to him in 1973. Wayne never felt the need to change the name because, "Everybody knew the name".

Danny's Service Center is still a full service station. An attendant gladly came out and pumped gas into my 1956 Plymouth when I stopped by in early 2026 after getting an alignment. They used to perform oil changes and tire services as well, but have gotten away from those in recent years.

There used to be a small set of cottages behind the main building, although according to satellite photography, these were removed sometime between September and November 2021. Again, accoridng to knowledable locals, Wayne lived in one of these cottages for a time, although I have yet to personally ask him about this. Unfortunately in April of 2026, a large hailstorm destroyed all of the neon of the Danny's Service Center sign, although plans are in place to have it fixed.

Currently Danny's Service Center is still in operation. However, there has been notable declines on the property, notably the destruction of the cottages in the rear, and the unforuntate destruction of the neon. Danny's Service Center is also not along a popular alignment, which does not help. The owner is aging, although his son Michael works at the business and helps carry the torch. The community should try and patronize Danny's Service Center whenever possible for that old full service charm!
