Originally built in 1935 by Luna D. Locke, he operated the camp for 10 years. His daughter, Marie Locke eventually took over. The reverse of the postcard stated, "Sleep in Safety and Comfort Without Extravagance. All Modern Heated Cottages. Prompt and Courteous Service for Our Guests. Popular Priced Café -- Famous for Food".

Marie married Harry P. Ray, "The Marryin' Justice" of Harrison, Arkansas (apparently nationally famous!) in 1952, shortly before her father passed in 1953. It was about this time that it began operating as the Eagle Motel. In 1958 it began advertising as a, "modern trailer park" while also still offering rooms. Marie Ray (Locke) continued to own and operate the property, later renamed the Eagle Crest Trailer Park.

In 1976 it was listed for sale due to her poor health; she passed in 1977. From aerial photos it can be seen that trailers were removed and the property was razed by 1985. The For Sale ad was oddly prophetic, it stated that the property would be excellent for a bank; about thirty years after it was listed a bank was constructed on the lot. It stands there to this day.
